By accessing or using Booch ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Booch is a web application for tracking kombucha brewing, managing SCOBY cultures, organizing ingredients, saving recipes, and documenting fermentation batches with photos and notes.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
The Service offers a free tier with limited features and a paid Unlimited plan. Key billing terms:
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly ($2.99/month) or annually ($19.99/year) through Stripe
- A 14-day free trial is available for new subscribers
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal
- After cancellation, you retain access to premium features for the remainder of your billing period, followed by a 7-day grace period
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
5. Free Tier Limits
Free tier accounts are subject to the following limits:
- 1 active batch at a time
- 2 SCOBYs
- 2 photos per batch (10 total)
- No access to analytics or data export features
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service, including brewing data, notes, recipes, and photos. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or any harmful material
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits
8. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons without prior notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or brewing outcomes.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time, which will result in the removal of all your associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
